Early in the season, as the first leaves emerge, the broad, bright white midrib in the glossy green foliage immediately catches the eye. Early on, the vivid red tints begin to appear in the beautiful clear green of the leaves. This marks the beginning of a color festival that unfolds in a changing palette throughout the season.

As autumn progresses, this very colorful Chinese silver grass displays increasingly beautiful, and certainly in backlight with a low sun, increasingly fiery flaming red tones. Miscanthus 'Neil Lucas' continues to glow for a while, well into winter. The plant then forms a beautiful silhouette that remains intact throughout the winter.

The height in a pot is 70-90 cm, while in the ground it grows slightly taller, reaching 100-140 cm.
